☄️ The "Celestial Fossil": 8mm Flat Damascus Steel with Meteorite & Dinosaur Bone

Earth and Sky, forged together in steel. The Celestial Fossil is a wearable artifact that spans aeons. By combining the legendary strength of Damascus steel with the rarest materials from both the Jurassic period and the cosmos, this ring is a timeline of history wrapped around your finger.

  • The Damascus Foundation: The body of the ring is crafted from genuine Damascus Steel, famous for its distinctive, wavy water-like patterns. Created by folding and forging different steel alloys, the metal is acid-etched to reveal a striking light-and-dark contrast that mimics woodgrain or flowing water.
  • The Prehistoric Earth: The inlay features crushed Fossilized Dinosaur Bone (Gembone). Mineralized over millions of years, this rare material replaces the organic cell structure with agate and quartz, offering rich, earthy hues and a connection to the giants that once walked the planet.
  • The Ancient Sky: Mixed with the bone is authentic Crushed Muonionalusta Meteorite. This extraterrestrial iron traveled through the vacuum of space for billions of years before impacting Earth, adding a metallic "stardust" shimmer to the inlay.
  • Modern Protection: While the materials are ancient, the build is modern. The delicate inlay is sealed beneath a medical-grade, waterproof resin, and the steel is treated to resist rust, ensuring this museum-quality piece can withstand daily wear.

Triple the Uniqueness

The Celestial Fossil offers three layers of individuality. The folded patterns of the Damascus steel are unique to every ring, as are the cellular patterns of the dinosaur bone and the metallic spread of the meteorite. No two rings will ever look exactly alike.

🛡️ Damascus Steel Care & Maintenance Guide

Congratulations on owning a piece of the Celestial Fossil collection. Your ring is crafted from genuine Damascus Steel—a legendary metal known for its strength and unique, fingerprint-like patterns.

Unlike Tungsten (which is maintenance-free), Damascus Steel is a "living" metal that appreciates a little care to keep its high-contrast pattern looking its best.

1. Routine Cleaning

To keep the pattern distinct and the inlay sparkling:

  • Soap & Water: The best cleaner is simple warm water mixed with a mild dish soap.
  • Soft Scrub: Use a soft-bristle toothbrush to gently scrub the acid-etched grooves of the steel and the resin inlay. This removes trapped oils and dirt that can make the pattern look dull.
  • Dry Thoroughly: After washing, always dry your ring immediately with a soft cloth. While high-quality Damascus is rust-resistant, leaving it wet for long periods can eventually lead to surface spotting.

2. The "Enemies" of Damascus

To preserve the structural integrity and the finish:

  • Avoid Chlorine: Chlorine (found in pools and hot tubs) is the kryptonite of steel. It can cause "pitting" or corrosion over time. We recommend removing your ring before swimming.
  • Saltwater: If you wear your ring in the ocean, simply rinse it with fresh water and dry it off afterwards to prevent salt buildup.
  • Harsh Chemicals: Avoid exposing the ring to bleach, ammonia, or industrial solvents.

⚠️ Important Note for Inlays:

Your ring features a crushed stone inlay sealed with a medical-grade resin.

  • NEVER use Acetone or nail polish remover to clean your ring. These solvents will dissolve the resin seal and damage the dinosaur bone and meteorite inlay.

3. Enhancing the Contrast (Pro Tip)

Over time, the dark etched lines of the Damascus pattern might appear lighter due to skin oils and soap.

  • The Oil Trick: To make the pattern "pop" like new, apply a tiny drop of mineral oil (or even beard oil/baby oil) to the metal. Rub it in and wipe away the excess. This deepens the contrast and adds a protective layer against moisture.

4. Storage

When not wearing your ring, store it in a dry place, preferably in the original ring box or a soft jewelry pouch, to prevent it from rubbing against other harder metals (like Tungsten or Diamond).
